We snapped this photo while walking in our 'hood. This is a side by side photo of a house built in the 1940's versus the house being built today. Notice the extreme difference in size. It's interesting to think in the 1940's it was perfectly acceptable to build a 1,400 square foot, three bedroom, two bath house and today it is perfectly acceptable to build a 5,000 square foot, four bedroom, five bathroom house.
