Little O.

One week ago we were enjoying our time with Owen, Kelly, and Joel in Santa Barbara. Right now Owen's nine months old and he's at the perfect baby stage. I wish he was here with me now, because he's so much fun. He'll be a different little guy when we see him again in July. They change so quickly. I hope he'll remember his uncles this summer! We love you O.

The Help

My mother is very well read. I love that she loves to read. Growing-up, my mother always read to me, my brother, and my father during family road trips and before bed time. I enjoy books, but I don't like to read any more words than are required. Anytime my mom tells me that I have to read a book I know it means that I must, after all, half the fun of reading is talking about what you've read.

The Help is her current recommendation. I found the audio book on iTunes and discovered that one of my favorite actors, Octavia Spencer, is the voice of Minny on the audio book. I've been listening to it on my iPhone since our Memorial Day weekend travels. I'm on the last fourth of the book, but I couldn't wait to finish the book before I recommended that you go and get this book. It's such a great story. I cannot wait to discuss it live with my mom.

So Long Flip, Hello I

Last week I was in an all day business meeting. The 15 individuals in the meeting ranged in age from 24 to 50 years old, and I was the only one that did not carry either a Blackberry or an iPhone. I still had my flip phone. I might as well have carried my mom's bag phone from 1988. You remember the bag phone, right? It was so expensive to use we never gave out the phone number, rarely turned it on, and we only planned to use it if were in danger...life threatening danger. My flip phone, just like the bag phone, was a relic from another era.

I immediately went out and purchased a 3G iPhone.

I'm Here

I did it. I've officially joined the blogosphere. I'm blogging about our life because I think it's the most efficient way for our friends and family to stay current in our life. It's good to be current.
