Boy or Girl or Healthy

We received a form letter in the mail last week from Texas Center from Reproductive Health, and this is the most interesting sentence in the letter: "The Texas Center for Reproductive Health is expanding its services and is one of only a few reproductive centers in the nation to offer gender selection technology designed to increase the likelihood of conceiving a child of a particular gender."

Wow.  The future is here.  I had no idea this technology exists in today's world.  We've researched surrogacy and it cost anywhere from $75,000 to $100,000 for us to have a baby, and even with that hefty price tag I don't think I care about the gender of the baby.  I just want it to be healthy! It seems like it would be more important to have a test that could guarantee the baby will be healthy....maybe that technology already exists in today's world too?

  1. How much does it cost for gender selection? I'd be very interested. I figure a female costs at least $250,000 more to raise. Therfore, if the selection service costs less than that, I'm in.
