Yesterday was my first day back in my office after our ski trip. A few items had started to come unraveled while I was out of the office, and yesterday I worked hard to put those items back on track. I succeeded. After two plus years of working for my boss, the CFO of our firm, yesterday for the first time he emailed me two little words: "thank you."
I feel like I just won the Superbowl and an Oscar and a Grammy. Never have two little words meant so much. I decoded the "thank you" as: I'm glad you're back, I missed you, and thanks for taking care of business.
