Doting Father of One

We took the pooches on their first long walk together. I was surprised that Dooley was able to keep up with Trigger. My husband kept reminding me that Dooley was a dog because I kept picking her up to check her paw pads, and I kept worrying about if we were walking too far for her. My husband also laughed when I picked up Dooley and carried her on part of the walk.

It's in my DNA to be the doting father. I'd have hopelessly spoiled animals if my husband wasn't here to remind me to ease up and treat them like dogs. If I'm this way with our dogs, then how am I going to act around our future children?!
