Be Careful

From USA Today: "Conservative Christian leaders ought to be very careful about their rhetoric going forward — careful not to continue giving the impression that being Christian is in large measure about opposing gay rights, and careful not to let the public expression of their faith become primarily associated with something that looks, sounds and feels like hate to growing segments of the population."

I agree.

Tom Krattenmaker wrote an interesting article in USA Today called "On gay rights, keep fighting or adapt?"  I've always been confused by the fact that Conservative Christians have been totally and completely anti-gay.  WWJD?  Throughout history the Bible has been used (among other things) to justify slavery and suppress women's rights, and in our time it is used to discriminate against gays. Again, WWJD?
